Applications are invited from suitably qualified Clinical Scientists for this post based at Russells Hall Hospital.
The Department is located in modern facilities and provides a comprehensive clinical biochemistry service to hospitals and General Practitioners in the Dudley area. Based in the heart of the Black Country, The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust is the main
provider of hospital and adult community services to the populations of Dudley, significant parts of the Sandwell borough and smaller, but growing, communities in South Staffordshire and Wyre Forest.
The successful applicant will work with other members of the medical and scientific staff to deliver a high quality
service and to contribute to the development of laboratory services. The Department is actively working towards the formation of a Blood Sciences Department and you will contribute to the development and completion of this project. Pathology is currently going
through a major procurement process to replace mainline biochemistry and immunoassay platforms. You will be encouraged to participate in the implementation of new technology, R&D and audit activities of the department.
The successful candidate will be a registered Clinical Scientist although we will consider applications from
trainees about to complete and submit their registration portfolio. Appropriate support and encouragement will be given to candidates to take and complete FRCPath and to subsequently participate in CPD activities and maintain registration with the College.
