Due to the entropic nature of the problem, one would need to procure a UKAS accredited Thermos flask would require a set of equations around the zeroth law of thermodynamics to accommodate the inevitable uncertainties that you describe.
What would seem to be on the face of it, a simple pragmatic approach, actually turns out to be highly complex, almost intractable problem requiring someone with the intellect of Newton to write the SOP.

Thermos filled with sand kept in a 37C incubator seems to be a good solution, although not sure how you would calculate the measurement uncertainty of this practice.

Subject: Cyroglobulin Evaluation

Best practice recommendation for cyroglobulin evaluation is to collect blood directly into a warmed container at 37C and transport to the laboratory at or > 37C (Ann Clin Biochem 2010; 47: 8-16). We are having trouble sourcing a container that is suitable for pre-warming and transporting collection tubes for this purpose.
I would appreciate hearing about what devices other labs use for cyroglobulin evaluation and where to get them.
Many thanks
David Parry
