The University of Oxford's Transport Studies Unit is set to run the New Technologies and Changing Behaviours short course in March 2016 as part of the Global Challenges in Transport Leadership Programme. This course examines the evolution and uptake of contemporary mobility systems. Individual sessions explore emerging contemporary mobility cultures in different global regions, diffusion and new perspectives on the role of technology in changing behaviours and energy reduction, and the sociocultural dynamics of behaviour change. The course additionally offers an overview of new and emerging smart technologies and behavioural intervention programmes and provides insights into current projects and initiatives across the globe. Key speakers include Dr Robin Hickman (UCL), Dr Lorraine Whitmarsh (Cardiff), Prof Graham Parkhurst (UWE), Dr Tim Schwanen (Oxford).



The 4-day residential course runs from the 15th-18th March 2016 with course fees including all materials, 21 contact hours, 25 hours CPD awarded by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, and 3 night's en-suite accommodation. All meals and refreshments are provided (including a special welcome lunch, a formal networking dinner and an end-of-course dinner).  Applications are now open for the few remaining places.
