Subject: Support for postgrads who demonstrate/teach?
Sent by: "Online forum for SEDA, the Staff & Educational
Development Association" <[log in to unmask]>

Dear Colleagues

I am writing to enquire if colleagues would be willing to share details of
their teaching provisions for postgraduate researchers with teaching
responsibilities? At LJMU we have a practice based programme which
incorporates sessions on large and small group teaching, assessment and a
practice teaching session. In previous years we have been able to offer a
lab based session for those demonstrating and teaching in labs. However,
due to the numbers of students involved in current cohorts we are unable
to offer this currently. I am emailing to enquire if you offer support
around labs and practicals which is not actually lab based? If so, what
form does this support take? In addition to this, what guidance/sessions,
if any, do you provide to students in relation to student advice and
wellbeing?

If you have any advice or guidance to share, this would be gratefully
received.

Many thanks in advance,

Rachel
