** Apologies for cross-posting **

Dear All,

We currently have two exciting vacancies here at the University of Warwick:

Research Data Officer, the role is full time and permanent and will be responsible for taking the research data activities of the University forward.

Priorities over the coming period will include further development of repository services for research data management, as well as advocacy for and embedding of those services within academic departments and support services. In addition the post will be responsible for contributing to the planning and implementation of policies and processes and developing ways to maintain an overview of data creation and management across the University. You will also be expected to engage beyond the University to maintain awareness of relevant developments. The closing date for applications for the role is 13 March 2016.

Head of Scholarly Communications, the role is full time and permanent and will be responsible for taking forward all of the Scholarly Communications activities here at Warwick and for developing the shape of our newest Division.

Reporting to the University Librarian, this is an opportunity for an adventurous and enthusiastic individual to drive services in a forward thinking, supportive institution. As part of the Senior Management team, you will be managing already established services within the Library, but also helping other services become established through further development. With continued service growth, the Scholarly Communications Division team will also have the opportunity to expand.

This is an opportunity for someone enthusiastic with persistence, willing to explore new areas to help the Library develop. You will have considerable professional experience and be educated to degree level, preferably to postgraduate level and with a relevant qualification (e.g. Library and Information Management). You will have experience of staff management and leading a team, and a proven track record of being able to contribute actively to the work of a Senior Management Team. You will have both a good professional and a good Academic understanding. The closing date for applications for the role is 16 March 2016.

If anyone is interested in hearing more about the roles and the plans we have for the service in the future, please feel free to get in touch.

All the best,
Yvonne
