I am delighted to announce that Dr Elizabeth Lomas (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/dis/people/lomas) has joined the teaching team on the Archives and Records Management Programme at UCL. Elizabeth has over 20 years’ experience as a professional practitioner in archives and records management. She joins us from Northumbria University where she completed a PHD investigating the management of online communications.

She has taken up an appointment as a Senior Lecturer in Information Governance within the Department of Information Studies. She will be progressing her research interests in information governance, records and information management, information rights law, security and risk management. Elizabeth is keen to ensure that research and teaching are linked to practice. She is currently working with Prof. Makhlouf-Shabou on developing an Information Governance Maturity Model as an InterPARES project. As a co-editor for the Records Management Journal she encourages the publication of articles from academics and practitioners.
