Any aspiring Head of Communications worth hiring would run a mile at language like that. Or is this sort of guff perfectly acceptable in all communication circles these days.

 

Then there is “realise the Institute’s vision”.

 

As this is a communications list and this is a communications job, I feel that I can throw in a snide remark or two. Perhaps this will take the heat off the Cambridge node.

 

I’m not picking on the Neason. He is just repeating the ad copy. (Salary expectations are listed by the way.)

The Alan Turing Institute are looking to hire a Head of Communications to help them build a major brand and realise the Institute’s vision.

 

Established in spring 2015 the institute is capitalising on the UK’s existing academic strengths and positioning the UK as a world leader in the analysis and application of big data and algorithm research.

 

The role is permanent and full time, salary is ~£45K (subject to skills and experience).
