Silent Signal Symposium
University of Derby, 26 February 2016

In partnership with QUAD and the University of Derby, Animate Projects presents a symposium that looks at collaboration at the intersection of art, science and technology.

The day will feature a keynote address by curator Hannah Redler, plus presentations and panel discussions with those from the fields of both art and science including bioethicist Dr Silvia Camporesi, Kings’s College London, curator Dr Sarah Cook, University of Dundee, sociologist Dr Gill Haddow, University of Edinburgh and artists boredomresearch.

The symposium accompanies the exhibition at QUAD of Silent Signal, six new animations produced through close collaboration between artists and scientists. Following the symposium there will be a drinks reception at QUAD and an opportunity to explore the exhibition.
