Some of you may not be aware that a new tier of practitioner is currently being considered. resulting from the Willis Review: Shape of Caring https://www.hee.nhs.uk/our-work/developing-our-workforce/nursing/shape-caring-review
This level is referred in this Guardian article as a Nurse Associate and it will be somewhere between an RN and an HCA
