I think we can add anything we think is relevant Alison, as long as the argument stays clean and clear, and based on a critique of their lack of attention to formal evidence! If you want to put in a sentence or two and some references, that would be great.

What about the earlier studies, such as evaluations of Changing Childbirth projects and local Sure Start schemes? AS the Maternity Review didn't draw on these, peerhaps they can't be mentioned in this particular context.

Many thanks! My thinking is that we can then use whatever we end up with as a template for a rapid response to this kind of report wherever it pops up around the world...



The n of studies and women for continuity of care will be in Janes Cochrane review Mary, and the place of birth stuff will be in nice, our settings for birth Cochrane review and birthplace, as a minimum..
