The new specification for AQA GCSE Chinese is due to be published in April 2016 (first teaching Sept. 2017, first exams 2019). The format is the same as the other MFL exams which are a year ahead and already have their specifications on the AQA website.
The format will be similar for Edexcel, but I am afraid I do not know when their new specification will be available.
Best wishes,

[log in to unmask]I don't believe the content of the new specifications is likely to change more the form of assessment.
We have started training year 7 & 8 for taking assessments with much less preparation time and have started including translations/dictations to create greater spontaneity.

Dear all,
To start teaching
new GCSE this September, please can anyone advise where I can find relevant
teaching resource, such as specification and text books ? Jinbu series cater
for the current GCSE specification very well but will it also be updated to
cater for the new GCSE in 2019?
Alternately, we
might look into switching to IGCSE. Which textbooks do most colleagues use for
this purpose, Jinbu, Easy steps to Chinese or Chinese made easy?
Many thanks in
advance
