Dear all,

The Library & Information History Group is offering one of its members a bursary to attend the CILIP Conference 2016 in Brighton, 12-13 July: http://cilipconference.org.uk. The bursary will cover access to both days of the conference, lunch, refreshments and all sessions. It also includes a ticket to the evening reception on Brighton Pier on Tuesday 12 July, which includes drinks, a fish and chip dinner, unlimited rides on the attractions, music and networking with colleagues. Two nights’ accommodation at the Ibis hotel and travel expenses within the UK up to £100 are also included.

Preference will be given to members who would not normally attend the conference, whether for financial or other reasons. The bursary winner will be required to prepare a report of the conference for the LIHG newsletter and to tweet, blog, etc. about the conference experience while there. They will also be asked to help the LIHG committee representative to promote the group’s activities while at the conference. The LIHG representative will be on hand to welcome the bursary winner.

To apply please send a Word document or PDF outlining the reasons why you would like to attend the conference (maximum 500 words) and how you may help promote LIHG while there, and a one page CV to Renae Satterley, Chair, LIHG, [log in to unmask] by Monday 21 March 5pm. Applicants must be a member of LIHG at the time of application. The winner will be notified by Friday 25 March.
