Colleagues,
This might be a good opportunity for collaboration with Brazil in OpenCitySmart ideas. Prof. Maria Brovelli (details below) is leading this and if you have contacts in universities in Brazil please share this info with them.
The SMART2 project is an ERASMUS MUNDUS Partnership (EMA2 strand1) project funded by the European commission in July 2014, for 42 months.According to the general goals of ERASMUS MUNDUS Partnership, the SMART2 project aims at fostering structured cooperation between European and Brazilian higher Education Institutions (HEIs) through the promotion of mobility at all levels of studies for students, doctoral candidates, researchers, academic and administrative staff.
The SMART2 Project is jointly coordinated by CentraleSupélec and Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI) in Brazil and composed of 18 members: 10 EU partners Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Finland, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal and Spain, and 8 Brazilian partners, plus 3 associated partners (T.I.M.E. Association, Ecole Centrale de Lille and BTP Rincent).
The SMART2 project provides mobility scholarships for students and staff only from Brazil to Europe. There will be above 144 scholarships to be awarded for 1-24 months depending on mobility type/academic level. The SMART2 project focuses on Science and Technology in line with the development priorities of Brazil and Europe.
