Or use bedpostx_gpu. On a 2x2x2mm multi-shell (70 volumes) dataset of mine, the whole thing is done in ~50 minutes.

In my experience, whenever I have Bedpostx, it usually runs in parallel. It is better if it is run on a cluster where it can use multiple nodes.

We have been completing entire FreeSurfer stream in 5 hours.


When attempting the bedpost, we assumed a significant decrease in computing time.

But in fact 24 hours had past and bedpost had not completed.


Does anyone have any advice on the matter.

As far as installation instructions and or hardware requirements.
