Call for Papers: GT 11 Southern European Societies

RESU Special Track Session
Deadline for the submission of abstracts: February 20th, 2016.
"Social problems of Southern European Societies"
This session is organized by FES (Spanish Federation of Sociology/Federación Española de Sociología) in collaboration with RESU (Network of National Associations of Southern European Countries, composed by the sociological associations of France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain). Future track sessions will take place in the national congresses of Sociology organized by the RESU member associations using a similar format.
Papers submitted should be sociological analyses, both theoretical and/or empirical, addressing common social problems and social trends of Southern European societies. They should include in the analysis at least two countries or regions of two countries (one of them being a Southern European country). Case studies especially relevant because of their implications for Southern Europe can also be submitted.
 Papers focusing on the following topics are specially welcome:

  *   Challenges for labour market insertion
  *   Immigration and social integration
  *   Inequality, poverty and social exclusion
 And other issues related with southern European problems are welcome
The working language will be English.
