Public Lecture by Professor Alexei Kudrin: 'The Russian Economy: Structural
Problems and Perspectives on Economic Growth'

The Princess Dashkova Centre of the University of Edinburgh is pleased to
invite you to attend a public lecture 'The Russian Economy: Structural
Problems and Perspectives on Economic Growth', to be given by the Honorary
Professor of the School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures Alexei
Kudrin.

Professor Alexei Kudrin is a prominent Russian political figure. He is a
former Russian Minister of Finance (from 2000 until 2011) and a former
Deputy Prime Minister (2000-2004, 2007-2011), Dean of the Faculty of Liberal
Arts and Sciences of the St. Petersburg State University, an honorary
professor of the Department of Economics of St. Petersburg State University
and the author of numerous academic publications in economics and finance.
Kudrin is the Head of the Civil Initiatives Committee, a Non-Governmental
Organisation which promotes human rights and development of civil society in
Russia.
