Subject: {SSWG} 3 PhD studentships on conservation governance at Leeds/York/Sheffield

 

Dear colleagues:

 

We are pleased to announce that we have ESRC funding for three PhD studentships on the theme of conservation governance across the universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York. Can you kindly forward to any interested MSc or undergraduate students? For some students, we may also be able to fund a year of MSc study prior to commencing the PhD, under the ESRC’s 1+3 scheme.


The deadline for applications is 4th of March

 

This is part of a network entitled “Innovative approaches to understanding new forms of conservation governance for social and environmental benefits”. The three studentships are:

Investigating wins, loss and trade-offs for biodiversity and human well-being across protected area networks. Principal Supervisor: Andrew Marshall, School of Environment, University of York.
