This work will include protein expression and purification from multiple sources such as E. coli, yeast, and mammalian cells. Molecular biology such as mutagenesis and ELISA assays will also be carried out. The experiments also include biophysical characterization by NMR and fluorescence as well as the study of silk fibroin-encapsulated proteins.
