*ASMBI **Special Issue on * *"Statistical Methods in Mining Industry"* *Call for Papers* The official journal of the International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics, *Applied Stochastic Models in Business and Industry (ASMBI)*, invites contributions for a special issue devoted to *Statistical Methods **in* *Mining* *industry*. The contributions should emphasize the novel use of stochastic models in analyzing typical problems in the mining industry, possibly supported by the analysis of real data. Papers should present innovative statistical methods with particular reference to the following (not exclusive) topics: design of experiment and quality control in the productive process related to mining problems, dust pollution, mine planning, ore to port integration, optimization of unit operations, risk assessment for new technologies, projects and expansions, and expenditures. All submissions will go through the standard, selective review process of *ASMBI*. Submissions are possible until *June 30, 2016 *through the website http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/asmb Please follow the *ASMBI *author submission guidelines given on the *ASMBI *website http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1002/(ISSN)1526-4025 and clicking on the box about submissions for special issues, mentioning “*Statistical Methods in Mining Industry*” when requested.
