Subject: Student Migration - what do the statistics tell us?

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has today, Friday 22nd January 2016, published a population briefing note: 'Student Migration - what do the statistics tell us?'. The report can be accessed from the following link:

http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/rel/migration1/long-term-international-migration/student-migration---what-do-the-statistics-tell-us-/student-migration---what-do-the-statistics-tell-us.pdf

The briefing brings together statistics on student migration from various published sources, including ONS and the Home Office. Please note that whilst the paper offers new analysis of student migration patterns, the data quoted in the report has already been published by the respective departments prior to today.

Please contact [log in to unmask] with any comments.

Kind Regards
