Research in Progress 2016 Saturday 27 February 2016 - 10.00 to 17.00 Shulman Auditorium, The Queen's College, Oxford.
Speakers include:
•Kevin Baker (University of Oxford)
•Ales Petrocchi (University of Cambridge) 
•Edwin Reynolds (University of Southampton; winner of the BSHM Undergraduate Essay Prize 2015)
 •Tony Royle (Open University).
The keynote speaker will be Dr Stephen Johnston of the Museum for the History of Science, University of Oxford.
There will be a panel discussion on the theme of translating mathematics.
The meeting will also include the presentation of the 2015 BSHM Neumann Prize to Sydney Padua, for her book 'The Thrilling Adventures of Lovelace and Babbage'.

Celebrating the History of Women in Mathematics at Manchester Wednesday 9 March 2016 - 16.30 School of Mathematics' Alan Turing Building, Manchester University.
This event will celebrate the lives of three female mathematicians,  Phyllis Nicolson,  Hanna Neumann and Bertha Swirles who not only made significant contributions to science but also lived incredible lives, thus earning a place in the history of mathematics in Manchester.
This is a public event jointly arranged by BSHM and  Manchester University School of Mathematics.

One hour talk by Fenny Smith,  jointly organised with the East Midlands Branch of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications.
Lecture Theatre OL1 in the main building at Kedleston Road campus, Derby University.
