medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

A friend of a colleague is working on the vitae of St Margaret of Scotland. She’s come across the topos of the saint’s book falling in the water and being miraculously rescued and is exploring other accounts of saints who had books that were dropped in water, or that got wet and were then saved by divine intervention. She has come across Aidan, Ninian and Columba and I have pointed her towards St Barrwg. Does anyone have any other stories of books being lost or rescued?
