The CILIP Conference takes place on 12-13 July 2016 at The Dome, Brighton and the CILIP Events team is seeking entries for papers and nominations for any individuals or groups who would fit in with the conference programme. The three main themes are:

- Managing Information

- Everyday Innovation

- Using Technology

Further information on each theme can be found on the conference website (see link below) along with an application form. The CILIP Conference speaker programme should represent professionals from across the library, information and knowledge world and so we welcome entries from professionals of all sectors, at whatever stage of their career. It is also worth noting that all speakers receive a free delegate pass for the day on which their presentation takes place.

Speaking at conferences is a great way to contribute to your professional development. The CILIP Conference provides a range of opportunities for speakers to develop their skills in presenting to a wide range of professionals. This in turn can offer you additional perspectives on your work and insights into a range of other organisations and sectors. The CILIP conference is friendly and the strands provide ideal opportunities for professionals to gain experience speaking at a national level. And just remember, others will want to hear about your work! Sharing research and experiences within the profession helps us all improve our practices.

How to submit a paper or nominate a speaker

Download an application form from the conference website (see link below). Proposals and nominations should be submitted to Head of Events at CILIP- [log in to unmask]. by Friday 12th February 2016. Proposal abstracts will be reviewed by the independent chair appointed for each theme. If you would like to nominate any individuals or groups who you feel would fit in with the conference programme please email them to [log in to unmask] by Friday 22nd January 2016.

We look forward to receiving your papers.
