Dear all,

One of our nurses has done a literature search on comfort rounds on wards. As a matron her task is to ensure that comfort rounds involving basic patient needs are being done by her staff. Her review has turned up some journal articles but as part of her assignment on this she needs to use a critical appraisal tool to evaluate the articles. She is concerned that the usual CASP type of tool doesn’t cover this as for example no systematic reviews have been found and the results do not link in to the usual qualitative / quantitative framework. I would be grateful if anyone can suggest a suitable critical appraisal tool that I can recommend to her.

Thanks very much in anticipation.

Best wishes

Stephen
