Do you work in a university maths support centre? Or do you aspire to?
Are you perhaps a postgrad student, or an established member of staff, with a keen interest in helping others learn maths and statistics?
Or do you manage a team of maths support tutors, and would like to mentor them more effectively?
Would you like to spend a day under expert guidance, learning and reflecting on how providing mathematics and statistics support differs from traditional classroom teaching?
Or do you have colleagues to which the above applies?
If so, we invite you to attend a FREE training event "Tutoring in a Mathematics Support Centre", organised by the Eastern England Hub of sigma, the Network for Excellence in Mathematics and Statistics Support.

Date: Wednesday 2nd March 2016, from 10.00 to 16.00
Place: University of East London, Docklands Campus

This training is ideal for tutors new to mathematics and statistics support but is open to anyone who wishes to reflect on the ways in which mathematics and statistics support differs from traditional lecturing. We are delighted to have the services of Prof Tony Croft and Michael Grove to facilitate the day.

This is the final tutor training event run by sigma this academic year. If you missed the earlier events, or if you know you would like training in preparation for next academic year, then do please join us at this FREE event - lunch and refreshments provided.
