Library and Student Support is looking to recruit for the Academic Writing & Language [AWL] team, part of the Learning Enhancement Team at Middlesex University. You will undertake AWL work with Home and International students across a range of Foundation, UG and PG programmes at the University to help ensure all students have the best opportunities to achieve on their programmes. In collaboration with AWL School Coordinators, you will liaise with subject staff in schools and with colleagues within the LET/LSS to identify programme and student AWL needs, and design materials and teaching sessions tailored to address these needs. With a Masters’ Degree in Applied Linguistics or a related subject and holding a PG teaching qualification, ideally in language teaching, you will have experience of providing AWL in a Higher Education context, have experience of working with Home students as well as International students, be an excellent communicator, a strong team player with a keen commitment to helping students succeed, and have a flexible approach to working in a complex, busy environment.
