A new way of addressing induction with an informed and researched pedagogy to underpin the discussion" [Workshop Participant]


Dear All,
You may be interested in this social and participative approach to both student induction and transition. The practice is based on a peer-to-peer relationship and provides a strong fit with modern concepts such as 'Student-As-Producer' and 'Student-As-Partner.'

This experiential staff development workshop is called "Student-Generated Induction: A Social Identity Approach" and it will take place at the Royal York Hotel (next door to train station) in York on Thursday February 25th 2016. The workshop will provide new theory and practice for student induction developed from doctoral research at University of Glasgow. Participants will use this innovative approach to share and discuss aspects of current practice. 

This event has proved very popular in recent times providing a useful forum for reflection amongst support professionals and academics.
