Hello Mandy and all,

Really glad to hear you’re enjoying the first (ever!) International online symposium! The UK presentations start this afternoon so do check them out if you can – much friendlier times, of course!

As I understand it, the recordings will be made available to ALDinHE who then in turn will disseminate them more widely. So don’t worry if you miss any, you will be able to see them later!

Best wishes,
Carina

I've managed to catch a couple of these so far and they've been excellent. Unfortunately could quite keep awake for a couple I was interested in very early this morning though 😌. Will the recordings be freely available? I understand the organiser is sending recordings to respective organisers.

SORRY everyone - the online symposium starts 9.00 pm TOMORROW Wednesday 27th January.

I could blame international timezones, but I won't - I just can't read carefully enough ......

Full details on the website http://www.learningspecialists.ca/events

Our own (our very own) John Hilsdon is presenting at 3.00 pm on Thursday 28th, followed by Carina Buckley at 4.00 pm and Andrea Didier at 5.00 pm. Australian and New Zealand colleagues present before that, Canadian colleages afterwards.

Best wishes

David

Dear LDHEN,

A quick reminder that the first Online Symposium of the International Consortium of Academic Language and Learning Developers kicks off at 9.00 pm tonight UK time and runs over a 24 hour period.

This is an exciting and innovative experiment, to allow Learning Developers from New Zealand, Australia, Canada and the UK to communicate across the timezones and present examples of their work to an international audience. We hope that this will encourage international collaboration and result in joint project working - we all share so much in common!

Details in the email below. Do please take a moment to register in advance and check the log in details using AdobeConnect. Our friends in Canada have worked hard to get a great schedule together for this inaugural online symposium.

See you there?
