The Gender Institute is delighted to announce that Christine Delphy and Sylvie Tissot are participating in two events in February 2016 at the Gender Institute in partnership with Feminist Review. On a rare visit to London, Professor Christine Delphy, one of the world’s most influential feminist thinkers, joins us to discuss a film made about her life and to discuss the challenges of feminism and the emergence of new racisms.

 

The first event is a screening of Je ne suis pas féministe mais...’ 52 minutes on the life of Christine Delphy ‘ - the first screening in the UK of this world acclaimed film (Tissot & Tissot, 2015), followed by a Q&A with one of the directors and Delphy herself.

The second event is Feminism in Transnational Times: A conversation with Christine Delphy”. In discussion, Christine Delphy and Sylvie Tissot will address Delphy’s last book (Verso, 2015), focusing on her views on the contemporary challenges of feminism vis a vis the emergence of new racisms.
