Best wishes Marion Research Assistant - post available at the University of Sheffield The Section of Public Health, University of Sheffield is currently advertising for a Research Assistant, working 21 hours per week (fixed term for 18 months), post ref: UOS012561. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr Sam Caton on a project investigating the portion size effect in pre-school children. The appointee will be involved in the planning and conducting of quantitative research and will be jointly responsible for the recruitment of families and their pre-school children from South and West Yorkshire, collecting and inputting data and assisting with the analysis and preparation of the findings for publication. As this will involve visiting families in their own homes a willingness to travel frequently is essential. A Masters degree or equivalent experience in an area of relevance such as psychology, dietetics or human nutrition is essential as well as a demonstrable knowledge of conducting quantitative research and an understanding of current issues regarding obesity.
