"Biophysics Week" will run from March 7–11, 2016 under the auspices of the US Biophysical Society, focusing on the theme of "What is Biophysics and Why is it Important?" Activities will include daily events, news and fun facts and access to resources such as lesson plans for teachers.

Members of the British Biophysical Society are encouraged to participate and register an event. As an incentive, those registering will receive a free Biophysics t-shirt.

In addition, BBS members who let us know that they have registered an event will be entered into a draw for free registration to BBS biennial meeting in Liverpool, 6–8 July 2016 (ideally suited to a PDRA or PhD student; if a supervisor wins, they can nominate someone to attend).

Events need to be registered by 5th Feb on the Biophysics Week website:

During the week, the BBS will circulate updates from the event and items of interest about Biophysics via the newsgroup email.
