At the moment we only have this funded for GP patients [and we bill
the CCGs for the tests they order as a special price to cover the cost of the
test, rather than their usual block price they still insist on for other tests].
Therefore, we don't allow it to be requested by A&E, or
cardiologists...

Hi
Would anyone like to share their experience of implementing
NICE guidance CG187 (Acute heart failure: diagnosis and management)? I am
interested in the number of BNP or NT-proBNP requests, the turnaround times
expected by AE/EAU, and whether there is any data indicating savings from echo’s
(if any!).
