Once again apologies for using the list rather than multiple individual emails. I have discovered more about the AAI equipment held at the Science Museum. It came from the Institute of Child Health in Edinburgh where it was set up to measure amino acids in neonates in the 1980s. So not a routine analyser. With this extra information I would again like to ask those who responded to my initial emails, or indeed anyone else with relevant experience, if they think they could still assist in bringing the equipment back to life. Ideally someone for London of the South-east would be best but if you have specific experience of amino acid analysis then distance would not be a problem.
