Apologies for cross posting

Just a quick reminder that our research on students' perspectives and
experiences of independent learning is to be launched by the HEA tomorrow
(2nd December). This includes a free lunchtime webinar on 2/12 :
<https://www.heacademy.ac.uk/research/research-webinars>
https://www.heacademy.ac.uk/research/research-webinars. If you cannot attend
the webinar, but would like a copy of the report and access to the recording
you should sign up for the webinar, and these materials will be sent to you
afterwards. We will also be delivering a workshop at the Universities UK
conference on Enhancing the student experience on 9th December
<http://www.universitiesuk.ac.uk/events/Pages/StudentExperience2015.aspx>
http://www.universitiesuk.ac.uk/events/Pages/StudentExperience2015.aspx.

We found students from all disciplines were under-prepared for the reality
of independent learning in higher education. Many felt overwhelmed by both
the volume and type of learning required.
