Dear Alison,
I would speak to Digby Warren at London Met as their mentoring scheme is well established and large scale and seemed to include aspects of coaching (they had 3rd years work with 1st years). They also have evaluation data on the impacts of this scheme which sounded really exciting. Student engagement on an embedded scale.
Sorry if you are already in touch given the proximity of your institutions (best not to assume).
All the best,
Yaz

Dear colleagues

We are currently using peer mentoring in a range of forms across courses, typically with second years supporting first years, but have also experimented with introducing coaching and coaching techniques as part of our student support. This has, to date, been localised and on a small and scale. I am now interested in devising and piloting a student coaching offer including training, as part of our support provision and wonder if anyone is currently doing something similar, or has done in the past? If you would like to get in touch with me off list I will compile an anonymised set of themes/approaches for anyone interested.

With many thanks and all best

Alison
