Subject: Save the date! Jisc Change Agents’ Network Staff & Student Meet Up: University of Lincoln – 2 June 2016

Dear CAN,
The University of Lincoln, building on the success of the previous Jisc CAN face to face networking events, is hosting a 1 day ‘meet up’ event for staff and students across the UK who are working in partnership on curriculum innovation projects in UK further education and skills and higher education.

The University of Lincoln is well placed to host the event, as you will see by reading the recently published CAN case study on the staff-student partnership work, ‘A research-engaged and collaborative community’ which is available on the Jisc CAN blog: http://can.jiscinvolve.org/wp/case-studies/ Dan Derricott, Student Engagement Manager at the university, will be presenting the next CAN webinar on 20 January 2016, on ‘Growing a whole institution culture of commitment to student engagement’. Find out more by participating in this free lunchtime webinar. You can register here: http://bit.ly/1R70dxk

Like other Jisc Change Agents’ Network events, this day will offer opportunities for sharing best practice from students working as change agents, digital pioneers, student fellows/ambassadors and students working in partnership with staff on technology related change projects across further education and skills and higher education. For many, the previous CAN events were successful because of the opportunity to talk to others doing similar projects in different ways across the country. ‘Inspired’ and ‘re-energised’ were words that cropped up in the evaluations as people thought about what they had most liked about the event in March 2015<http://can.jiscinvolve.org/wp/events/can-event-march-2015/>.

A detailed agenda and registration form will be available on the CAN blog<http://can.jiscinvolve.org/wp/> in the early part of 2016. There will be opportunities for networking and hearing more about the initiatives at the University of Lincoln on the afternoon and evening of 1st June 2016. The event will be free for students and the cost for staff will be modest. Participants will need to cover travel and accommodation costs.

Please share this news on your networks. We will let you know as soon as the registration formally opens.

On behalf of the Jisc Change Agents' Network team, I would like to wish you all a happy holiday season and the very best for the coming year of 2016.

with very best wishes,

Ellen
