It's me again with another enquiry about our sei whale. But thanks to all of you who previously suggested whale specialists who could help with mounting.

 

This time I am enquiring if anyone can suggest any good ways of cleaning the whale bones. A pressure jet of water only gets the surface dirt off but many oils remain. Previous suggestions I have had include boiling and steaming.
