We are investigating what patients, service providers and healthcare professionals think and feel about urgent care services (such as NHS 111 and walk-in centres), and how and why patients use them. We aim to develop a conceptual model to explain patient choices, decisions and behaviour in relation to urgent care. The post holder will play a key role in undertaking a structured review of the literature, conducting qualitative interviews with patients across Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, assisting in two citizens’ panels, and analysing qualitative data.
