Here at Canterbury Christ Church University we will be open between Christmas and New Year.

 

Augustine House in Canterbury can be accessed from 9.00 – 17.00 and self service will be available during these opening hours. In addition library  staff will provide the following support:

 

·         Thursday 24^th December [11.00 – 15.00]:

Roving service.

·         Friday 25^th December – Sunday 27^th December:

Closed.

·         Monday 28^th December – Thursday 31^st December [11.00 – 15.00]:

Roving service.

·         Friday 1^st January:

Closed.

·         Saturday 2^nd January – 3^rd January [11.00 – 15.00]:

Roving service.

The following libraries will be open:

 

University of Birmingham

Main Library will be open on Tuesday 29^th, Wednesday 30^th and Thursday 31^st December, 9am to 5pm.

Cardiff University

Health library will be open for the entire period including 25^th and 26^th December and 1^st January. The Arts and Social Studies Library will be opening on 2^nd and 3^rd January.

 

Coventry University

Lanchester Library will be open:

 

·         27^th – 30^th December:  08:00–midnight:

reference and self-service use only: access will only be granted to customers with a valid Coventry University student or staff card

·         31^st December: 08:00 – 21:00:

reference and self-service use only: access will only be granted to customers with a valid Coventry University student or staff card

·         1^st January: closed

·         2^nd – 3^rd January: 08:00 – midnight: service desks close at 19:00

 

University of Derby

Main library at the Kedleston Road site will be open:

 

·         Tuesday 29^th December - 10am – 5pm (limited counter service, i.e. loans and IT only, no reference or academic support)

·         Weds 30^th December - 10am – 5pm (limited counter service)

·         Thursday 31^st December - 10am – 5pm (self-service only, no counter service)

·         Friday 1^st January – CLOSED

·         Saturday 2^nd January – 10am – 5pm (full counter service from 10am – 1pm, limited counter service from 1pm – 5pm)

·         Sunday 3^rd January - 1pm – 5pm (limited counter service)

 

Keele University Library will be open for restricted hours over that period. Details are at:

Reference usage is open to all, and borrowing may be available via the Sconul access scheme.

 

National Art Library (at the Victoria and Albert Museum) is open on the 30^th December.

 

University of Northampton

Park Campus library only will be open at the following times:

 

·         27^th December: 10am – midnight

·         28^th December: closed

·         29^th – 31^st December: 10am – midnight

·         1^st January: closed

·         2^nd – 3^rd January: 10am – midnight

 

Nottingham Trent University

City centre library will be open on 28 to 31 December, between 11am and 5pm.  All opening times are available on this web site:

Sheffield Hallam University

The library will remain open through Christmas and New Year, and will be available to students from other universities.

 

Southampton Solent

Open on 29-31 December 10am to 4pm and on 2-3 January from 10am to 5pm

Visitors are welcome but photo ID is needed for entry.

 

The University of Sussex

Library will be open on December 28, 29 and 30. 10am to 7pm

 

University of Worcester’s ‘The Hive’library, will be open between Christmas and New Year and students from other universities are welcome to use the service. Opening hours are available here: http://libguides.worc.ac.uk/blog/20151211 Normal service hours resume on Saturday 2^nd January.

 

 

NB- Not all site libraries at each university will be open during the holidays so students (as always) should check before they go.
