We are currently looking for tenders for the evaluation of our Heritage Lottery Fund supported project “Rewind – Seven decades of stories from Leonard Cheshire Disability”. Please see attachment for the full brief (summary below).

Summary:
Running for two years from late 2015, Rewind will undertake six main areas of work:
•	digitising, transcribing and interpreting archive material
•	creating an online resource for digitised archive material to be accessed
•	running workshops within six services (in Kent, Surrey, West Sussex and Essex), using existing archive material and researching service-specific heritage material
•	collecting new oral histories relating to the six services involved
•	running a series of community talks, activities or events about disability history
•	internal and external promotion.

We are seeking an experienced evaluator who will:
•	work with staff and volunteers on Rewind to agree monitoring and evaluative information requirements and collection methods to be used throughout the lifetime of the project (to be completed by end of January 2016);
•	develop a broad appreciation of the project’s work through some early observation;
•	maintain contact with the project manager and keep a watching brief on the project, receiving quarterly evaluative update reports; and
•	produce a comprehensive summative evaluation report at the end of the project (draft to be submitted by September 2017 and final report completed October 2017).

Budget: £7500 for the contract including all expenses.

•	how you would go about fulfilling the requirements of the contract (including proposed use of time and associated costs, including your day rate)
•	experience of successfully completing similar projects
•	understanding and experience of developing, implementing and analysing data from monitoring and evaluative information systems
•	experience of producing compelling reports in plain English for funders, practitioners and service users
•	understanding and experience of issues in heritage and archiving services
•	experience of working sensitively with staff, volunteers and community groups
•	understanding of and sensitivity to working with people with a range of cognitive and physical impairments.
