An invitation to walking artists, artists who walk, walkers who might be interested in joining the last phase of this project.

A two day performative walk: 4th/5th February 2016. retracing the steps of Holocaust survivor Esther Brunstein from slave labour camp near Hannover to the infamous Belsen death camp.

A walk in witness: sharing survivor testimony; repatriating memory; connecting past to present.

an intimate performative walking experience that takes the personal to the universal;
exploring and responding to the story of one woman's struggle for survival in the Holocaust;
discovering and generating resonances with the refugee crisis in Europe today;
a human rights walk in witness with the oral testimony of Esther Brunstein at its core;

10 ‘stations’ over 2 days walking between Hambuhren-Ovelgonne and Bergen Belsen in Lower Saxony Germany.

This is the last phase of a project which began in April 2015 walking the route transposed to Somerset, in February we will walk the actual route of the death march starting on the anniversary of the day that the group of women, including Esther Brunstein, left the slave labour camp for Belsen.

More information on the project and for walkers here: https://forcedwalks.wordpress.com/the-walk-in-germany-2016/

The walk will have a live online presence which I would like to invite WAN to contribute to @forcedwalks and facebook : forcedwalks, details to follow.

...and to help us get there and get it networked I would be really grateful if subscribers could network the crowdfunding campaign: http://igg.me/at/honouringesther2016/x/12652155

thanks for your time!
