Workshop Description: Compressive sensing and sparsity have experienced intensive attention and research interest during the last 10 years in a large variety of applications, including imaging and tomography.
The idea is to make use of the fact that many images or signals are sparse in specific problem-dependent bases or frames. Exploiting sparsity is usually a hard combinatorial problem. A breakthrough has been obtained when it was shown that ....

2. Avizo course, Tuesday 3rd November: 20 places available (email [log in to unmask]) with your name and name of organisation. Morning session will be held at 3.306 at PSI (Alan Turing
Building) and afternoon session will be taking place at Visualisation Area at HMXIF. There is now a course fee : £500 plus VAT for external users who are not students / members of staff at the University of Manchester.

1. The third Xradia European Network Workshop is being held in Manchester on 4th-5th November (Barnes Wallis Building). Deadline for registration is 15th October. The conference is to keep yourself updated
