Thanks for sharing!  Never made it to their original shop when in London.  I can only imagine how the neighborhood feels; being a long time Berkeleyite (California that is), it was a very disheartening day when Cody's Books on Telegraph Ave. closed.

My wife and I are currently 'downsizing', and the removals firm talked of needing a second lorry for the books. I feel for Ed and Ben, Valerie and the rest of this great institution.

I will keep my memories of the original premises in the same mind-store where I hold the old Reading Room at the B.M., and Duke Humfrey's at the Bodleian.
