Afternoon all,
I’ve been asked about the disposal of children’s records in line with our retention policies. The records are Special Educational Needs and Multi-Agency Support Teams, but given the Goddard Inquiry, I’m not sure whether we need to (a) keep all children-related records just in case or (b) keep only the children’s safeguarding / child protection records.
I checked the Inquiry and the IRMS websites as well as jiscmail, but I haven’t seen any further updates, so I’m emailing to ask what approach other organisations are taking.
For reference the two websites were:
IRMS - http://www.irms.org.uk/working-groups/iicsa-inquiry-working-group
Inquiry - https://www.csa-inquiry.independent.gov.uk/key-documents
I also sent this email to the data protection jisc mail, so apologies for cross posting.
Many thanks,
Mark
