Dear all,

If you are based in or near London (or planning a trip), you are very welcome to pop in to the Science Museum's new Dana Research Centre and Library, which is now open at 165 Queen’s Gate at the back of the main Museum building.

The collection includes extensive holdings for museum studies; history and biography of science, technology and medicine; and the philosophical and social aspects of these subjects. There are around 5,500 volumes on open shelving and terminals to access digital resources. You will also be able to consult selected archives and items from library collections transported from our stores in Wroughton (our library team will be able to advise on the notice required as this will vary depending on the condition and volume of material requested).

The Library catalogue is available at https://smg.koha-ptfs.co.uk/ and a new catalogue for the Archive will launch in mid-November.
