This made me wonder: where do students turn if they feel they've been falsely accused and/or are looking for help in building their case? I guess the answer would usually be their students' union (or equivalent). So does the NUS have anything useful in this area? If there is a need for something more/new (and I can imagine there may be) could/should it extend to both staff and students. The issues of academic malpractice are surely no different (although expertise, understandings, expectations, consequences etc etc may well be)

Subject: Re: Advice for academics accused of plagiarismThanks Irene, as you mentioned, there may be scope for this in the European project. I will start doing some preliminary research, so far most of it is either policy for procedures against staff or guidance for dealing with students plagiarism. I wonder where staff can turn if they face charges of plagiarism?************************************************************************* You are subscribed to the JISC Plagiarism mailing list.
