medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture My mother died two days ago. At her funeral we will use the prayer found in the Compline service. From memory, it ends with the request that ‘tired of the changes and chances of this fleeting world we may rest upon Thy eternal changelessness’. It will be an Anglican service.
