Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Visual Media Practice - 0.4 FTE School of Art, Design and Media Location: Brighton - Moulsecoomb Salary: £33,574 to £47,801 pro rata Closing Date: Monday 30 November 2015 Interview Date: Monday 14 December 2015 Reference: AD3079-15-298-R Join our undergraduate and postgraduate media curriculum, where you will use your excellent planning and communication skills to deliver an expanding portfolio of courses. Holding a PhD or nearing completion in the field of visual media practice, you can evidence expertise in one or more of the following areas: contemporary, historical, theoretical and practical approaches to visual media practice (photography, design, digital communication) with a strong focus on production and production-based research; supervision of theory and practice-based media and photography projects at undergraduate and postgraduate levels; or multi-platform visual media practice and its applications. Relevant industry experience and practice are also welcomed. Existing teaching skills along with module management and development should be complemented by a clear research agenda with an emerging set of publications that can contribute to the School's research portfolio. Evidence of income generation and/or emerging impact agenda activity would be welcomed. This position is on a fixed term basis until August 2017.
