Hello, we are pleased to announce the launch of SEANOE (http://www.seanoe.org/), a new Open Archive for marine research data. Data published by SEANOE are available free. They can be used in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons license selected by the author of data. Seance contributes to Open Access / Open Science movement for a free access for everyone to all scientific data financed by public funds for the benefit of research. An embargo limited to 2 years on a set of data is possible; for example to restrict access to data of a publication under scientific review. Each dataset published by SEANOE has a DOI which enables it to be cited in a publication in a reliable and sustainable way. Examples: * Gaillard Fabienne, Mercier Herle, Kermabon Catherine (2015). POMME Kalman analysis of physical variables: datasets and gridded fields. http://dx.doi.org/10.17882/39477 * Trenkel Verena, Lorance Pascal, Berthele Olivier, Ferrant Anthony, Le Piver David, Rochet Marie-Joelle (2015). Observations for Synaphobranchus kaupii from bait experiments carried out in the Bay of Biscay in 2002 using ROV Victor 6000. http://dx.doi.org/10.17882/39746 * Lefebvre Alain (2015). MAREL Carnot data and metadata from Coriolis Data Centre. http://dx.doi.org/10.17882/39754 The long-term preservation of data filed in SEANOE is ensured by Ifremer infrastructure.
