Sorry to hear of Hal’s passing.  I remember him as always bubbling over with energy, ideas & enthusiasm.  My condolences to family & friends.

Sad news - Hal Dalwood - funeral arrangements

This will come as a shock to many of those who knew him. Hal was diagnosed with secondary cancer in late August and spent most of October and November in hospital in Worcester then Cheltenham. Despite the best efforts of the specialist medical team in Cheltenham and his own determination, stoicism and fortitude in the face of his illness, he died last week on 25th November.

The funeral will be at Wyre Forest crematorium, Stourport on Severn, Kidderminster, at 12:00 on Monday 7th December. All are welcome to come to the Hadley Bowling Green Inn afterwards to continue our celebration of his life and to share our memories and grief together.

Please wear whatever you feel comfortable in, colours or black. No flowers; please contact me for details if you wish to make a charitable donation – these will be divided between Amnesty International and Maggie’s Centre Cheltenham which was a wonderful support to Hal’s brother Dexter and me in the days before Hal died.

If possible please let me know if you will be coming, so we know approximate numbers for catering purposes, by email to [log in to unmask] as soon as possible. However, if you find you can come unexpectedly, we will of course be delighted to see you, and there will be food and drink for you to share.

With all best wishes

Rachel Edwards
